Dealing with Mitral Valve Prolapse

When my cardiologist told me that I have Mitral Valve Prolapse, I was really shocked to the point that I got speechless. She explained it the way my parents could understand it the simplest way possible. She assured me that it’s benign though I have to undergo a surgery when it’s severe. After that announcement, I did a lot of research about my illness. My pulmonologist told me to don’t worry about it. I tried to be positive in dealing wih this but there are times when I really get frustrated and wanted to end everything. There are a lot of restrictions; from food to the activities that I enjoyed doing. Everyone wants to live not just exist here on earth. I still have a lot of goals to achieve but having this kind of illness made me feel that I am at my endpoint. But thanks to Wil Dasovich. Watching his vlogs made me realize that I still have a lot of things to do in this world. His vlogs had introduced me to different vloggers that had changed my perspective in life. It made me want to fight more. I never knew that I would really love to learn cooking. Erwan Heussaff vegan recipes had been my inspirations. I hope my parents would approve my vegan ramen soon. Haha! I wish so. With all the things that had been happening, I guess what matters most is how we react to it. Take it from my ultimate hustle idol Jako de Leon. His words had always been on point. The idea of having a good support system had really help. Being with the people I love and trust had been of great help. They’re my light in this time of darkness. I don’t want to enumerate the things that I had been dealing with but I know things will get better soon. To anyone who’s suffering Mitral valve prolapse, remember that we can beat this. Cheers to a better life for us! ☝
